EDA Trains Drivers for 2010 Winter Games

As a partner of DriveWise, EDA has been selected to participate as the official driver safety service provider for the Vancouver 2010 games, providing driver assessment & training services as an integral part of the Volunteer Drivers Training Team in preparation for the 2010 Games Operations. The training group is the ONLY driver training organizations to have provided services to 4,000+ volunteers in the history of the Games.

Led by the DriveWise British Columbia team, instructors from across Canada have assembled in Vancouver and Whistler to provide elite driver assessment, training and mentoring services to the volunteer drivers of the gamesmaking sure media, athletes and their families will be safe on the roads during the 2010 Winter Games. Over four thousand volunteer drivers will be trained from October through mid-January in preparation for the up-coming Games. The program is a mixture of in-class instruction including virtual reality simulation, online training and in-vehicle assessment and coaching.
 
It has been an honor and a wonderful experience to participate in history!
